How would you describe yourself in 5 adjectives?  Introverted, conscientious, empathetic, gentle, nurturer

What are your hobbies?  Working as a birth doula, dishes--does doing the dishes count (cause I feel like I do that a lot)?, and sewing/crafting when the season is right. I like simplifying and organizing things.

Kids and names?  Delia & Nolan

Husband- what does he do, and how long have you been married?  My amazing husband is Jake. He works as a project manager in construction for Ryan homes and is also renovating our new house right now.

What do you do at The Nest?  I serve on the Board of the Nest!

What do you love about being a mom?  My absolute favorite is the newborn phase, so I am really looking forward to that again in just a few weeks! I love love love those moments when I am struck by how much I love my daughter and can really take in moments with her, like when we cuddle or when she looks in my eyes and tells me she loves me or that she forgives me for being impatient with her. I love seeing her learn and grow, and she never fails to make me laugh with something she says every day. I am really looking forward to seeing Delia in her new role as big sister!

What is the best part of being a mom?  The overwhelming joy and gratefulness I share with my husband for the gift of our daughter. The picture of God's love that she brings to life for us. Getting to see my husband as a dad and the bond we have as a little family. One of the best parts but hardest as well is getting to be the one to teach her and be an example for her. How her little mind comprehends things amazes me all the time. Whew! So good, but so challenging at times!

The hardest part?  For me, one of the hardest parts of being a mom is staying patient in those moments when we are running late or my daughter has chosen to blatantly not listen or do the opposite for the third time in a row. Navigating discipline as a parent has definitely been a challenge for Jake and me.
