Kinsey Rings

My current position with The Nest is:  as the Childrens and Assistant Director.

My favorite place is: Athens, Greece.

The greatest invention in the last ten years has been: Crock-Pot, hands down!

If I had a super power: To fly like a bird.

My best decision ever made: giving my life to Jesus, and marrying my husband, Bryce.

A great leader is: someone who leads from the bottom up, who leads by example of service, who is the first one to step out before he or she expects anyone they are leading to do so.

My all-time favorite book is: Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.

My favorite books of the Bible: Isaiah, James, and Acts.

I'm inspired by: spending time alone with God and hearing His voice.

Favorite things to do: Read, bake, create, sing, spend time outside, hold babies, and spend time with my husband and family.

Hi! I’m Kinsey and I’m the Assistant and Children’s Director at the Nest.

Originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, I moved to Akron in October 2016 when God called me to work at the Nest. I recently got married in October 2017 to my amazing husband, Bryce. We met while doing a discipleship training school in March of 2016, a time where God spoke to us both about the individual callings over our lives.

I have long felt a passion for families, and for mother’s and their role in the family, and for the way God designed and loves families. It was during this time that I met Jenna and learned about the Nest, immediately feeling a tug to come work here and be a part of their mission in the lives of mothers and families in Akron. I work as both the Assistant director- planning events, doing administrative tasks, helping run certain programs, and the Children’s director- running the kids programming for our Moms Group, Foster and Adopt group, and Single Moms group, as well as facilitating a bi-monthly story time, and going to our playgroups. It is such a privilege to care for the mothers, fathers, and children we have in our care at the Nest.
